SIMOTICS HV high voltage synchronous motors (IEC) cover power ranges from 2.1 to 100 MW and torques up to 2500 kNm. Due to their flexibility concerning cooling type, construction, speed, pole number and protection they can be matched to every application within this power range.

Our rugged high voltage IEC synchronous motors are used in a wide variety of applications, which call for the highest power and torques capabilities, as well as a maximum plant availability.  In applications such as central gas compressor stations, blast furnaces, rolling mills or ore mills. They are available for mains and converter operation in power ratings from 2.1 up to 100 MW and higher, voltages from 1.5 kV up to 13.8 kV, torques up to 2500 kNm and speeds from 7 rpm up to 7000 rpm in the double digit megawatt range. Housing, mounting, active components, ventilation and cooling system are optimally matched to each another. Thus they set the benchmark when it comes to reliability.
